Blessed Metod Dominik Trčka, New Martyr Of Slovakia
Succumbed to pneumonia on this date back in 1959 in a Czechoslovakian prison. Illness was contracted when confined to solitary confinement as punishment for singing a Christmas carol.
(2Timothy:2:13 )''we may be unfaithful, but he will always be faithful, for he cannot disown his own self.''
I always tell people again and again, that one should never judge truth by conduct, that it is we who are unfaithful to the Catholic doctrine, not the other way around. The ryan report has seen some horrible acts within our church over the decades, but so has the police force and many other secular institutes, who all have a doctrine and reputation to keep. If we judge truth by conduct, then we might as well dismiss the ryan report as all its authors are sinners, we'd also have to take our kids out of school and denounce the police force, as these people commited the same crimes across the globe, but we have the common sense not to dissmiss our kids from school dont we? When a police man commits an offence, the state doesnt recognise that there be something wrong with the law, but to the contrary understand that there be something wrong with the police man, and justice must be met.Further, if people are going to continue their protest against the Catholic church based on the conduct and sinfulness of its members, then they would have to ignore the thousands of saints/Martyrs the Catholic church has produced (since Christ founded his church in 33 A.D) par excellence. Do I say we should blank out the reality of such crimes? Not at all, these are crimes that have been dealt with and these men put behind bars. the memory may never leave us, but there is love in forgiveness and we move on.
I myself fell away from the church many years back due to ignorance and had a hard time coming back because of the scandals, but the Lord touched my heart and moved me to a new conversion by many means. Jesus Christ gave me the gift of common sense and opened my eyes to the reality of how ''we may be unfaithful, but he will always be faithful. for he cannot disown his own self.'' The premise of this blog is to provide you with the blood of the martyrs. These Martyrs are an example of how the Catholic doctrine has never let us down.
I am a simple lay person who has a great love for God and his church. In the mid summer of 2007 a pair of rosary beads arrived through my door in Scotland and in the spring of 2008, found my self home in Ireland to be a fully practicing catholic. The only interests I have are in bringing people back to God.
I am not a person who has the wish to use God for his own personal agenda, but to the contrary, give him something back for as he himself said that ''when a man has had a great deal given him, a great deal will be demanded of him;'' I read also about how the Lord spoke to a mystic called Vassula Ryden who was put down for her refusal to be silent on her relationship with Christ, that she should refuse to be like that wicked servant who hid his talent and then was condemned for having done nothing. I tend to take heed to these words also, as should everyone else.
God bless and take care
Stephen <3
